Understanding Gemstones
The traditionally known gemstones are emerald, blue sapphire, and ruby. They are most well known because of their use in medieval times and so forth. In this day in age there are multiple colored gemstones such as tanzanite, aquamarine, tourmaline, imperial topaz and tsavorite garnet. These stones come in a variety of colors and can make any watch or piece of jewelry into a masterpiece. If you are one of those people who is sick of seeing diamonds at every corner, gemstones are definitely the way to go. They are durable natural stones that glisten in the sunlight and reflect their radiant colors on all. With gemstones, you can buy multiple pieces of jewelry and mix and match outfits along with the jewelry. Although some of the older stones are more pricy such as emerald and ruby, the newer stones come in beautiful colors and affordable prices. The value of gemstones depends on their carats and their cuts. The match cut gems are more expensive. Also, the color of the gem is one of the most important aspects for pricing gems; the more glistening the color, the more expensive the gem. Gemstones are a fabulous way for someone to say “I love you” and you can never go wrong when buying a piece of jewelry with a gemstone.
